For riders who spend a lot of time on adventure, sport-touring, or dual-sport motorcycles, the right rear setup can make a noticeable difference, especially when the bike is regularly ridden two-up.
We’re Dynamic Motorcycle Accessories, a small U.S.-based manufacturer in St. George, Utah. We build motorcycle-specific passenger backrests, luggage racks, tail bags, and related mounting hardware, with a focus on practical fitment rather than trying to make one universal product work on everything.
Our XP Backrest is our main passenger-support product. It is designed around specific motorcycle models and mounts using either a compatible Dynamic luggage rack or backrest mounting plates, depending on the motorcycle. The backrest itself uses a 1-inch thick pad and an aluminum, powder-coated mounting structure.
We currently offer XP Backrest applications for a wide range of motorcycles from BMW, Honda, Yamaha, Triumph, Ducati, KTM, Suzuki, Kawasaki and other manufacturers. Fitment varies by model and year, so we recommend checking the specific motorcycle application before ordering.
We also make several products that work alongside the backrest:
- Short and long luggage racks for model-specific applications
- Backrest mounting plates for bikes where a rack isn’t required
- Backrest/Tail Bags that can attach to a Dynamic backrest or be used independently on a luggage rack
- Givi Monokey mounting hardware for compatible racks
- DIY Backrest Kits and replacement parts for riders who prefer to build or modify their own setup
Our Backrest/Tail Bag is a good example of the kind of versatility we try to build into our products. It’s approximately 14 liters, has internal compartments and a rain cover, and can be mounted to a backrest or used as a conventional tail bag.
We’re not here to tell everyone they need a backrest or a particular luggage setup. Every bike, rider and passenger is different. If you’re considering one and aren’t sure which configuration works with your motorcycle, feel free to ask here. Tell us the year, make and model of your bike, and we’ll point you toward the appropriate option if we have one.
For those interested, our full range of motorcycle-specific backrests, racks and luggage is available through Dynamic Motorcycle Accessories.
